Doing The Write Thing

Some people who have been doing this for a long time, and especially those who are Internet marketing experts may find this easy, but most of us don't.

Example of a "Write" Site

If you are interested in making money using the Internet, then look at this scenario with Wes Blaylock. A visitor lands on Blaylock's page that sells eBookPaper - the amazing information product software that sells for less than $50.

(Really, it is a steal of a bargain, given that you have 6 months to try it, plus a ton of bonuses that you keep, even if you make a "no-questions asked" return! That's a great bargain, but anyway...)

A visitor gets to this eBookPaper page by clicking on the link http://www.ebookpaper.com/c.cgi/pauloft_ebp.

We're talking about a top-selling product, here. How much technological fanciness would you expect to see on this page? None.

This page is mainly text - only one relatively small graphic element. It drives home a point: Words sell, not pictures. Mind you, this is a great eBook creation tool. But the information on the page is not graphic, it it mainly textual - and very informative!

There are many more products like eBookPaper on the web, but eBookPaper is amazing and very easy to use. You should try it if you write your own eBooks, reports, etc.

You Should Do The "Write" Thing

If you don't create your own information product, you should think seriously about this aspect of viral marketing. Here is what Corey Rudl, the guy who made $1,075 in a few days with a Free Affiliate Program, had to say on the importance of writing:

"Writing articles and eBooks will allow you to establish a reputation as an expert in your field, driving more visitors to your site when they click on the links in your bio and within your written material."

...when you study their style and use their resources, you will notice that you have to write in a language that is relaxing and easy to understand.

For example, don't cause your reader to wonder how brilliant you are. No one is interested in that. The average surfer is selfish... maybe not totally, but you have to realize the level of skepticism holding that mouse.

They just need to know the answer to the question, "what's it it for me?" before they click. Don't you?

Use good, simple, concise statements - no need to impress yourself with big words. You see the importance of this when you understand the mindset of the visitor to your site. So if you sell your own product on the web, or if you sell affiliate products, it is important to remember that it is the words on your page that sell. Don't just put up nice graphic work and thrilling multimedia.

All that is good, but "content is king". Use simple, but friendly language. And make sure you answer your reader's question, "what's in this for me?" Yes, do the write thing, and you will get the right result.
