Writer resource & ideasHere I list lots of resources, ideas, and options for writers or would-be writers. Whether you write books, children's books, novels, or you just write for the web...
This is the writer resources section. Consider these empowering resources whether you're a mystery writer, a textbook writer, columnist, or you just write for the web. Writer resource No. 1 - dictionary softwareI use www.dictionary.com to make quick checks on word meanings. It's free, and useful for quick checks if you are connected to the web. Improper word usage is a turn off on the web, but definitely a no-no for a book. If you need more sophisticated or professional services, try
Babylon. This single click translator dictionary, converter, and
information tool can extend your reach beyond language barriers.

I value Steve Manning's instruction on how to write a book in 2 weeks. Also, there are training resources for writing children's books. This is so important. Writing books for kids is bigger "nation-building" than any political program can carry out. And again, if want to cut out the painful trial and error in learning to write for the web, here are my two recommended resources - in order of personal preference:
Writer resource No. 3 - SoftwareWord-processing software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking help put a lot of fun into the work of putting your thoughts on paper (or on disk). Imagine how far we've come! You don't have to use your fingers to type. Talk about a semantic shift on the meaning of the word typing. You'll also need graphics software if you do your own graphic illustrations. Writer resource No. 4 - Computer and PrinterItems and furniture for home office
These hardware items are easily available at popular office furniture stores such as OfficeFurniture.com. More Writer Resource LinksThinking about writing a gripping novel soon? Have you checked out the invaluable free advice on the Web? These are some of my favorite places for writing information:
